CWG 2022: Check out list of medal contenders for India on day 6
Lovepreet won a silver medal in the last Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in the men’s 109 kg category. He will look for a podium finish on day 6.
Purnima stood 6th in the Gold Coast games in the women’s 90+ kg category. She is looking in better shape with fine chances to clinch a medal this time.
India’s ace squash player Sourav Ghosal will play for the bronze medal against the 2018 CWG gold medal winner James Willstrop.
Aneesh Kumar is the gold medal winner in the 2019 CISM World Military Games. He will be playing the Men’s Discus Throw F42 in the para-athletics on day 6.
Tejaswin Shankar holds the national record in Men's High Jump and he has also won a gold medal in NCAA games 2022. He will be a strong contender for medal.
Indian athletes will play in eight medals events and have chances to win 11 medals.
With Boxers Nitu, Lovlina Borgohain, Hussamuddin, Ashish Kumar and World Champion Nikhat Zareen will play in their quarterfinal bouts
