Shankaracharya of Dwarka and Sharda Peeth Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passed away on Sunday
He was 99 years old
He took his breath in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Swaroopanand Saraswati was considered the greatest religious leader of the Hindus.

In 1982, he became the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Sharada Peetham in Dwaraka, Gujarat and the Jyotir Math in Badrinath
In the age of 19 he became a freedom fighter in the Quit India movement in 1942, and was known as "Revolutionary Sadhu".
He was jailed for this, serving a prison sentence of 9 months and another of 6 months
He also advocated a uniform civil law for Hindus and Muslims in India to maintain a balance in their population.
