Take a look at Noida Twin Tower demolition
In 2021 Supreme Court ordered the demolition of the towers as it violated the minimum distance requirement.
The buildings were built illegally and violated the UP Apartment Act.
Apex and Ceyane are located at Sector 93A in Noida. The towers are 103 m and 97 m tall respectively.
Reportedly, 3,700 kg of explosives were used to demolish the buildings.
The SC also said Supertech and the Noida Authority engaged in a “nefarious complicity".
The buildings were proposed to be built in 2004. In 2005, the Noida Authority sanctioned the building plan.
In 2006, permission for ground+11 floors was given with adding two more towers to the plan.
The apex court gave the deadline of August 28 for the demolition. Extra 7 days were kept in case of any technical or weather issues arise.
The decision came after several petitions by home buyers.
