After living with his wife's body for 21 years, a 72-year-old man has finally cremated her
Charn Janwatchakal, an ex army officer, has preserved his wife's body at their home since her death in 2001
Janwatchakal said his goodbyes to his spouse after holding on to her body for more than two decades, describing it as a display of 'endless love'
Outside his residence, he was observed crying and assisting in the transport of the casket
"Mum, you're just going on a quick business trip and you'll be back home soon," Janwatchakal told his wife. I swear it won't take long"
Janwatchak Chanwatcharakarn was concerned that he might die without having his wife's cremation
He made the decision to bury her with the help of a charity
His wife died of a brain aneurysm after suffering from excessive blood pressure
Her body was taken to be used in Buddhist ceremonies
He did not, however, cremate her body and instead preserved it in a coffin
