Beijing: Around 100 people feared buried in landslide in China.
According to Chinese media reports, at least 40 homes in the village of Xinmo have also been destroyed by the natural disaster in the Maoxian County of China’s Sichuan Province.
The government of the province said the landslide from a mountain fell onto the village in early morning today. It blocked a 2 kilometer section of a river.
The incident was reportedly triggered by heavy rain around 6am local time. The county government’s website says search and rescue efforts are under way.
