During this time of Navratri Celebrations, Renooji (Renoo Nirula), has enabled us with knowledge and mantras to connect to, understand, and invoke the energies of Devi. It is a Journey that the Guru Invites You to take with Surrender and Devotion. (Below are extracts from Renooji’s lectures on Devi, Shakti, Durga and her many forms to empower you further)
KUSHMANDA :
“The Goddess who is eight-armed, carrying a bow, an arrow, a lotus, discus, mace, chakra, a jar of nectar, and a rosary – riding a tiger she brings light to the darkness, creating worlds, universes and realms filled with her own golden potency.”
‘As the 9 Nights and 10 Days of Worshipping and Glorifying the Feminine Divine reach its fourth night, with the Fourth Form of the Navdurgas – KUSHMANDA, let us all connect to her life-giving force, and understand in complete humility that we exist because she has designed it so.
The 9 Devis, or Durgas are the key -expansions of the Feminine Divine in Hindu Folklore – our Myths, Legends and Vedic Hymns describe them as Warriors, Mothers, Progenitors, Protectors, and Keepers of ALL Human endeavour – there is a gratitude that is filling all the devotees, so join your gratitude to this cosmic cloud and fill it with your gratefulness to the Divine Mother. As we approach the mid-way point of these 9 Nights and 10 Days of celebrating and glorifying the Devi in her myriad forms, embrace yourself in the light.
For many, these adjectives will never be enough, and hence they refer to her in her energy form – as SHAKTI! As all that is movement, kinetic and frenetic in this world and the next. She is the Masculine Divine in motion – she is that combustible nuclear energy ACTIVATED! That is what Shakti is, and to know her, touch her, taste her and see her, we must first begin by inviting her, and approaching her with love in our hearts. The best way to do this is through Mantra, and so, we are sharing here a beej-mantra from the Navratri Chanting on 4th of October, 2016, led by Renooji. As we begin the mantra and meditation for the fourth Form of Durga – KUSHMANDA, we exclaim loudly and in great happiness the arrival of Devi with this specific chant :
II OM DOOM DOOR-GAA-YE NAMAHA II:
‘As the fourth night of the Navratris unfold, Devi Kushmanda appears in all her glory. Her eight arms adorned with Weapons to protect, a Lotus to regenerate, Nectar to sweeten material existence, and the Rosary to bless the devotees, Devi in this form arrives to protect cosmic creation. Her body of golden hue radiates with streams of orange light, touched by the blue energies of the Devis who have appeared before. These streams appear like surgical knives in the energy field cutting through the karmic records housed in the spinal chakras. It is a good day to meditate on letting go of bad habits or activities, asking for forgiveness, and destroying all your negative energies. There is victory over the false ego today – bringing all devotees in touch with their true reality and acknowledging their true position.’
