New Delhi: In a bid to empower the unprivileged children and create a level-playing field for them, 20 E-Learning tablets were distributed to students of Ahlcon International School on Tuesday.
The beneficiaries of E-learning tablets were students belonging to the Economic Backward Class (EWS) of Delhi’s Mayur Vihar school.
These tablets, costing approximately Rs 15,000 each are self-sufficient and designed to give ‘extra advantage’ to students, especially those studying in Class IX, X and XI. The tablets have in-built course syllabus of these classes and hence will serve as hands-on education tool for these students.
The distribution of 20 E-learning tablets was conducted by the Rotary Club of Delhi Ananta, which recently gave away 100 E-Learning tablets to children belonging to poor & lower middle class, at a camp organized in Rotary Ananta Charitable Hospital, Greater Noida.
The tablets were handed over to EWS students in presence of Ahlcon International School Principal Shri Sanjay Yadav, AG Zone-7 Rtn Vijay Kumar, President Rtn Vikas Goyal, Hon Secretary Rtn Kapil Jain, Varsha Jain & Rtn Sandeep Sehgal from Rotary Club of Delhi Ananta.
As the EWS students were handed over E-learning tablets, the joy & jubilation was evident on their faces. After receiving the tablets, they expressed gratitude to the school administration and also the Delhi Rotary Club office-bearers.
The school administration as well as the Rotary Club is also drawing adulation & admiration for the benevolent act.
Those students from well-off families have access to all modern facilities & tools of education, however those from EWS category often tend to suffer due to lack of resources & opportunity. With this move, the ‘now empowered’ students will on par with their fellow students and hence will have good opportunity to excel.
