CAT Exam 2021: Result likely to release today, check details here

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, IIM Ahmedabad can release the Common Admission Test (CAT) Result 2021 today. As per the analysis of past trends, IIM CAT result is likely to be released on January 3. 

This will end the wait of about 2 lakh candidates. The results will be released on the official website. So candidates will have to keep an eye on it. Though, the date has not been officially announced yet.

The CAT exam was held on November 28, 2021. The exam was conducted in 3 shifts on the same day at all the centers.

Usually it takes around 30-40 days for IIM Ahmedabad to release the result after the exam is conducted. Based on this analysis it is estimated that the results may be declared today.

Here’s how to check CAT result: 

# visit the official website iimcat.ac.in

# log in the User ID and Password

# now, the result of CAT 2021 will appear on the screen

# candidates can check their score/percentage

# download the copy and take a print out and keep its hardcopy safe.

How to calculate percentile: 

CAT Exam is evaluated according to a set criteria. For this the marks obtained by the candidate in a particular section is taken and then normalized against the maximum marks in that section. Finally, it is looked at across the slots and then ranked in terms of percentiles.

For general category students, the CAT cutoff for IIMs is generally 99 to 100 percentile. The cutoff for reserved category students taking CAT in 2021 is slightly lower at 97 to 98 percentile. For leading MBA colleges like SPJIMR, FMS, MDI and others, the expected cutoff for CAT 2021 is 95 to 99 percentile.

The examination was conducted at 438 examination centers: 

The exam was conducted at 438 exam centers across 156 cities in India. The answer key for CAT 2021 was released on December 8. Candidates were given time till December 11 to raise objections to the answer keys. The final result and answer key will be released after considering the discrepancies.
