CBSE Class 12th Results: Girls outshine boys in passing board exams, total 92.71% students pass

New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for the class 12th board exams. Girls have surpassed the boys in the results as the overall pass percentage for girls stands at 94.54%, while boys secured 91.25%.

Out of the total students who participated in the exams, 92.71% of them passed the exams, however, according to CBSE, 4.72% of students have been placed in the compartment. The exams were conducted in a two terms format this year rather than a full syllabus exam like they used to be. The weightage given to the first term is 30% while the second term has 70% weightage in the theory exams, while there is equal weightage for both the terms in the practical exams.

In 2021 also, girls managed to outshine boys as the overall pass percentage for girls was 99.67 % while the boys gained a pass percentage of 99.13 %. Last year, all the transgender students passed the exams.

Kerela’s Trivandrum had the highest pass percentage with 98.83% of students passing the CBSE 12th class exams. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj had a pass percentage of 83.7%, which is the lowest among the 16 regions.

This year CBSE has also launched ‘Pariksha Sangam’, a new portal to check all the details regarding the exams. ‘Pariksha Sangam’. The results are also available on DigiLocker.

Steps to check result:

  1. Go to the official website of CBSE, http://cbseresults.nic.in.
  2. Click on ‘CBSE Class 10 Result 2022’ or ‘CBSE Class 12th Result 2022′ link on the CBSE webpage.
  3. Enter your roll number and other details printed on the admit card.
  4. Click on the submit button.
  5. Your CBSE 2022 result will be displayed.
  6. You may download the result and take the printout for future reference.
