New Delhi: The admissions for kindergarten, nursery and class 1 in Delhi have started across 1,700 private schools. The Directorate of Education (DoE) issued a certificate asking the school heads to give a 30-day relaxation time in age limits.
The certificate says,” It is again reiterated that age relaxation of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the heads of the school in both the minimum and maximum age limit. Therefore, any parent seeking age relaxation in respect of their ward, may approach the school principal/head of schools through a manual application for his/her consideration.”
Earlier DoE had set the following age limits:
Nursery- 3-4 yrs
Kindergarten- 4-5yrs
Class 1- 5-6yrs
The online application process for nursery admission in Delhi schools for the academic session 2021-22 began on February 18, 2021. The last date to apply for the Delhi nursery admission is March 4, 2021.
To apply follow the process:
- Visit the desired school website you wish to apply for.
- On the homepage, click on the link admissions 2021-22 tab on the homepage.
- A new page will appear on the screen.
- Register your child with required information.
- Upload the required documents.
The documents required to apply are:
- Passport-size photograph of the child
- Mother’s/Father’s/Guardian’s passport size photograph
- Family photograph (mother, father, and child)
- Address proof
- Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s Aadhar card
