New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG answer key will be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, the specific date for the NEET UG answer key has not been mentioned by the agency. The NEET 2022 examination was held on July 17. Reportedly, more than 18 lakh students applied for the medical entrance exams, while over 16 lakh students appeared for the exam. Before, NTA had issued the NEET answer keys following a month of conducting the entrance exam.
Last year, NEET UG was held on September 12 and the NEET UG 2022 answer key was issued on October 15. The result of the test was declared on November 1, 2021. However, in 2020, the NEET answer key was issued on September 26, while the result was released on October 16. NEET 2020 was held on September 13. Thus, going by the trend of previous years, the answer key for this year is expected to release soon.
Notably, the increased number of students might be one of the reasons for the delay in the release of the answer key. Last year, 16 lakh students registered for NEET UG. Again in 2020, over 15 lakh students registered for the exam. Thus, it can be understood that every year, the number of students is increasing.
The NEET UG marking scheme features four marks for students for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. If a question is left answered no marks will be deducted.
