New Delhi: Tamil Nadu CM Edapaddi Palaniswamy announced on Thursday that no exams will be conducted for the students of class 9,10 and 11 in the state, the students will be promoted to the next class. CM Palaniswamy said that the decision was taken on the advice of medical experts.

According to CM Palaniswamy, experts‘opinion is that the situation is not conducive to conduct the examinations due to pandemic.
The decision comes a day before the announcement of the election schedule by the Election Commission. The EC is expected to announce the schedule for Assembly elections on Friday. Four states and one UT which includes Tamil Nadu have their elections in April-May
