New Delhi: UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar shared that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET December 2022 exams for ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ and eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The exams will be conducted in 83 subjects and the online application forms for the same are out now.

When and where to apply for UGC-NET December 2022?

The submission window for the online application form is from December 29 to January 17, up to 05:00 pm. Candidates can get the application forms for the exams on ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

What are the dates for examinations?

The examination will be conducted from 21 February 2023 to 10 March 2023.

How to apply for UGC-NET December 2022?

  1. Visit ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the official website of UGC NET 2023.
  2. Click on ‘Apply For UGC NET 2023’.
  3. Fill up your details in the application form.
  4. Upload the scanned documents and pay the application fee.
  5. Submit the form.

What are the eligibility criteria?

General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities and Social Science (including languages), Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, and others are eligible for the exam.

For candidates belonging to the OBC/SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender categories are eligible with at least 50% marks.

Exam format

The examination is conducted with two papers having MCQs. There is no break between the two exams. The mode of examination is CBT and a candidate gets 180 minutes for the same. The exam is available in both English and Hindi.
