You’ll be shocked to hear that PS1 earned Rs 150 crore in Tamil Nadu over the weekend. PS1 will now be the second-highest grossing movie in the state, trailing only Kamal Hassan’s Vikram, which has already made around 190 crore.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her long-overdue return to Tamil cinema with this movie. Aishwarya was portraying two characters: Nandini and Mandakini Devi, her silent mother, were the two characters. When the film first came out, both critics and viewers were impressed with Aishwarya’s performance.
Mani Ratnam recently stated in an interview that he is pleased that the movie could be split into two parts and released at this time since consumers are prepared to watch a movie in many parts.
