Movie Review

The Lovers, a clever adaptation of Azazel Jacobs’ romantic comedy, is Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s first film, and it has a love puzzle with multiple answers. The characters’ inner conflict is brilliantly portrayed in Shirsha Guha Thakurta in the film.

The script deftly handles the complexities of contemporary relationships, illuminating the pleasures and sorrows of love; it was written by Suprotim Sengupta and Eisha Chopra with dialogue by Amrita Bagchi.

Every shot in the film carries the weight of marital discord. The film presents commitment as an ongoing process rather than a static institution, and it deals with love entanglements with a new, nonjudgmental candour, which helps to de-stigmatize divorce and frees marriage from its everlasting promise.

There is some shaky language, but the visuals are great. Still, Vidya Balan is a remarkable representation of contemporary Indian female in her self-assured portrayal. Additionally, Pratik Gandhi delivers an outstanding performance.

Important scenes in the film are heightened emotionally by the music, which serves to amplify the film’s themes.

Overall, the film delves deeply into the intricacies of contemporary relationships, exploring themes of love, betrayal, and forgiveness. Featuring outstanding acting, skilled directing, and an engaging story, the film provides an insightful look.
