New Delhi: On Wednesday, a post regarding ongoing Haryana violence was shared from actor Govinda’s Twitter account following which, his Twitter (X) account mysteriously disappeared from the micro-blogging site.

In the said post, the actor reportedly dropped a video of Gurugram violence that showed an angry mob looting a shop before lighting it up. Attached along with the video came a caption that read, “What have we come down to? Shame on the people who call them. Hindus and do such things.” The same post further reminded the masses that India is a Democracy, not an autocracy.

Bachpan mein suna thha ke Paap kya hota hai, har Hindu jaanta hai. Nirdosh ka shraap kaise lagta hai, yeh bhi har Hindu jaanta hai.
Joh paap uss train par hua, kya aap ussko apnaane ke liye, ussey apne ghar aur parivaar par lagvaane ke liye taiyaar ho?
Soch lo. Mehnga padhega.

Disappointed with Bollywood’s unobtrusiveness on the ongoing violence, several netizens called out a number of Bollywood celebrities and blasted them for staying unconcerned about domestic issues while always being the first one to speak when it comes to international ones like BLM.
Replying to a post regarding Haryana violence shared by singer Vishal Dadlani, one user commented, “Thank you for speaking that is also a lot these days. Unlike other Bollywood people who were very vocal about “ BLM” are surprisingly silent on the murders of their fellow citizens or maybe poor minorities don’t matter anymore.”

One person even went on to say that the same industry which speaks on an elephant’s death and Black Lives Matter is keeping quiet on topics like these.
Specifically targeting citadel actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, a third user wrote:
Literally the whole #India is burning and the blood is being spilled out on the streets. And ALL #Bollywood celebrities are sleeping. @priyankachopra you “couldn’t breathe” according to your Insta post during #BLM protests, what happened now? https://t.co/s1mLwWKWvj
