Kangana Ranaut blasts ‘fake Bollywood gang’, makes appeal to Modi govt to demolish platforms like Twitter

New Delhi: A day after Rangoli Chandel’s Twitter account was suspended by Twitter, her sister and acclaimed Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has come all guns blazing against the ‘fake news peddlers’ as well as the microblogging site.

Kangana took strong objection to fake news being spread by some Bollywood celebs over her sister Rangoli Chandel’s tweet and refuted any insinuation of provocation in the latter’s tweet.

What Rangoli tweeted

In the video, Kangana talks about ‘why freedom of speech is important in a democracy’ while also claiming that Rangoli didn’t promote the genocide of Islam believers in any way. She demanded protection for Babita Phogat after how Babita was also dragged into controversy over her tweet on Tablighi Jamaat. Kangana even went on to suggest that such social media sites should be “demolished” and that India should “start our platforms.”

Here is the video:

“Farah Ali Khan, Reema Katgi said the tweet was about Muslim genocide but nowhere this was mentioned. If proved, I and my sister are ready to apologise,” actress said via Instagram.

Kangana also lambasted at the microblogging site Twitter for ‘taking sides’ and not acting where it is required to do. The actress made an open appeal to Modi govt to demolish platforms like Twitter who make money from India but don’t serve the national interests.

She further demanded protection for Geeta Phogat who has been harassed and targeted by unruly elements on Twitter.
