New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan made the first official announcement about his upcoming film Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand on Wednesday (March 2). The film also stars John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and SRK himself.

The one-minute teaser features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, talking about the titular Pathaan in different tone.

From the teaser one can understand that the film will be patriotic and Pathaan is the patriot for whom the country is his ‘karam and dharam’.

As John Abhram can be heard saying,“Humare desh mein hum naam rakhte hain apne dharm ya jaati se, par uske paas inme se kuch nahi tha,” John says, as he poses next to a Tricolour and a superbike. Deepika adds, “Yahan tak ke uske paas koi naam rakhne wala bhi nahi tha, kuch tha, toh bas yehi ek desh.”

After which, SRK can be seen in long hair saying, “To usne desh ko hi apna dharm maan liya aur desh ki raksha ko apna karam.”

He further said that “Yeh naam kyun pada, kaise pada, iske liye thoda intezaar kijiye.”

It is rumoured that SRK’s upcoming film Pathaan will tie into a planned shared universe of spy films being produced by YRF. It will also include Salman Khan’s Tiger films, and the Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff-starrer War.

It is also said that Salman will be seen in cameo for Pathaan, and Shah Rukh is also rumoured to have shot a similar cameo for Tiger 3, which is also in production.

On the work front,  the actor was last seen in Zero (2018).
