New Delhi: Bollywood actor Chrisann Pereira, has been released from the jail on Wednesday. The actress was arrested for carrying a memento that had drugs hidden in it in Dubai.

A video which was shared by Chrisann’s brother Kevin Pereira on Instagram showed their mother jumping happily and in joy while talking to her on a video call.

Sharing the video, Kevin wrote, “Chrisann is SET FREE!!! She will be in India in the next 48 hours.”

The brother of the actress also informed that the Mumbai Crime Branch had also arrested two people on charges of framing the Bollywood actress in connection with the drug-smuggling case.

According to reports, the two people arrested had planted drugs to get Chrisann Pereira imprisoned.

Who is Chrisann Pereira?

Chrisann Pereira, a 27-year-old Bollywood actress.

She has acted in movies like Sadak 2 and Batla House.

Chrisann was also seen in webseries like Thinkistan and Murder in Agonda.

Earlier this month, the actor was arrested in drugs smuggling case.
The two accused who have arrested in this case has been identified as Anthony Paul and Rajesh Babhote.
