New Delhi: The Noida Police have launched a manhunt to nab the ‘dabangg’ politician Shrikant Tyagi who has been absconding after threatening & assaulting a woman in a Noida housing society Sector -93.
A reward of Rs 25,000 has also been announced for providing information on the self-proclaimed politician. The Noida cops have launched a co-ordinated bid to track & apprehend him. As per reports, 12 teams have been formed and sent in different locations to trace his whereabouts. Shrikant Tyagi has been on the run after his video of abusing a woman at Omaxe society went viral on social media.
The cops have detained four of his close associates and also seized his vehicles.

Meanwhile, the famed bulldozers of UP government reached his residence in the upscale society and demolished the illegal constructions at the housing complex. The accused reportedly got his extended without taking required approvals from the authority.
The self-proclaimed politician described himself as a national executive member of BJP’s Kisan Morcha and also co-ordinator of Yuva Samiti but the saffron party had denied any links with him.

Tyagi was booked under the IPC Section 354 (assaulting any woman, intending to outrage or knowing it to be that it will amount to outraging his modesty) on Friday night, after the woman lodged complaint claiming that he abused & threatened her amid presence of society residents.
The woman had objected to plantation of palm trees outside his flat as it was encroaching upon the common passage area and thus hindering movement of residents.
Many videos also landed up on social media in which he was seen hurling expletives and also shoving the woman. He was caught on camera making derogatory remarks and also cursing her husband.
