New Delhi: UPSC 2015 batch topper IAS Tina Dabi is in the news again for her second marriage. Seven months after getting divorced from her first husband Athar Khan, Dabi is all set to marry IAS Pradeep Gawande. He is the director of the Archaeological Department of Rajasthan.
Tina Dabi, who is quite active on social media, recently shared her pictures with IAS Pradeep Gawande on Instagram, announcing the wedding. Meanwhile, her first husband Athar has also shared a couple of pictures on social media.
Who is Athar Amir?
Tina Dabi’s first husband Athar Aamir Khan is also an IAS officer. In 2015, when Tina topped the UPSC exam, Athar was ranked second in the same year. Athar is originally from Anantnag in Kashmir. He has studied electrical engineering at IIT Mandi and started preparing for UPSC after that.
Athar and Tina Dabi met for the first time in Mussoorie during their IAS training. In an interview, Tina had told that she had fallen in love with Athar at first sight. The due got married in 2018, however this marriage did not last long.
When couple filed for divorce last year
The bitterness in Tina and Athar’s relationship came to light when Tina Dabi dropped the surname ‘Khan’ from her name on her social media accounts. After this, in 2020, both of them filed for divorce in the court of Rajasthan. The two legally separated in 2021.
Athar changed his cadre to his hometown Kashmir
After their marriage, Tina and Athar chose the Rajasthan cadre and both lived there. Though Athar moved to Kashmir after the divorce.
At present, Athar is the Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, he is also the CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited. He enjoys a huge fan following on social media as well. Athar has 5.62 lakh followers on Insta, and 1.04 lakh followers on Twitter.

Amidst the chatter about Tina Dabi’s second marriage, Athar has shared two pictures of himself. In one of the pictures, he can be seen posing in front of Srinagar Lake. His followers have also commented on this picture.
The second pic is from the 7th Smart City India Expo he had participated in. Athar wrote in the caption, “In this expo, I got a chance to interact with the commissioner, CEO, and industry experts working for smart cities”.
