New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday reiterated the need for adopting cautious approach and preventive measures in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Corona cases are on a decline but any complacency or negligence in fight against pandemic can revive the deadly virus,” said UP CM.
He also appealed to informed citizens and people to keep spreading awareness about the Coronavirus.
CM Yogi Adityanath said this while chairing a high-level review meet on Unlock guidelines. The Chief Minister suggested targeted testing during upcoming festive times to break the cycle of Coronavirus and also called for regular spraying of anti-larva chemicals at crowded places. Fogging is another method of keeping the virus contained and controlled.
The Chief Minister also suggested unique method to help impoverished families by offering them to adopt cows. Those having space at home and an interest in cow-rearing will be provided with cows and state govt would provide Rs 900/- financial assistance to families for their fodder.
Moreover, UP policemen are being given special training for better policing during Covid times. Over 3500 police personnel of UP 112 have been trained in 72 districts on how to deal with accused in such times.
There are about 25,000 active Corona cases in the state. In terms of Corona surveillance and sample testing, Uttar Pradesh already tops the list with more than 1.5 crore tests till now. Till now, 1.76 lakh people have received medical consultation on e-Sanjeevani portal in the state.
