Under the scheme, the UP Transport Department is opening 600 Automobiles Pollution Testing Centers which will curb the problem of toxic smoke (pollution) being released from the vehicles In the state.
All medical colleges, universities, and institutes in the state will be closely watched. For this, a 24-hour state-level control room is being set up in the office of the Director-General, Medical Education and Training, where the officials will keep an eye over the oxygen supply and will review the availability of the stock on a daily basis.
A total of 36 lakh of population residing in about 7.16 lakh houses are under these containment zones. These are manned by over twenty five thousand of police personnel.
Briefing mediapersons, Additional Chief Secy Awanish K Awasthi said, “Weekend lockdown to be imposed in UP on Saturdays & Sundays. Lockdown will come into effect on Friday 8 pm & continue till Monday 7 am. Only essential services will be allowed. Night curfew will remain imposed in all districts.”
Despite tested COVID positive, CM Yogi is making sure that the people of his state do not feel any kind of discomfort in getting treatment. For this, the CM has instructed the hospital administration to ask for any kind of help required by the Government.
“Uninterrupted supply of oxygen should be ensured in all the hospitals for and oxygen cylinders should be regularly replaced in all districts”, CM Yogi instructed officials.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directions in this regards asking the Medical Education Minister to increase the facilities of GSV Medical College, Rama Medical College, and Naraina Medical College in Kanpur.
Earlier, he had isolated himself after some officials of his office tested Covid positive.
He said that as a representative of Varanasi, he takes constant feedback from public & in last 5-6 years, medical infrastructure has advanced in Varanasi that has helped in the fight against COVID-19.
The meeting will be attended by top officials, local administration and doctors who are involved in fighting COVID in Varanasi, said Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
