ED registers money laundering case against ex-Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh: Officials

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday registered a case of money laundering against former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh.

The case, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), was registered on the basis of an FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), said people familiar with the development.

The central probe agency may now summon Deshmukh for questioning apart from others, they said.
