New Delhi: Gujarat government is committed to making the dream of Ease of Doing Business a reality and has taken another concrete step in that direction. To encourage small and medium enterprises, GIDC has set up an industrial estate on 47 hectares of land at Aithor in Unjha taluka of Mehsana district. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will allot plots on 7th July at 3 pm to applicants after draw.
The draw will be conducted with full transparency through software developed by the Government of India’s Agency National Informatics Centre. This industrial estate is divided into two zones, MSME zone and general zone which include 279 plots. GIDC Chairman Balwantsinh Rajput said that, 1,220 eligible applications have been confirmed in the online applications.
Mr Rajput added that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken various steps to revive economic activities, industries, trade, employment in the situation after COVID-19 outbreak. This will prove to be one more concrete step in the same direction.
279 plots divided into two zones, MSME Zone and General Zone
He added that GIDC has planned to set up an industrial estate in 47 hectares of land at Unjha taluka in Mehsana district. This industrial estate is located at a distance of about 25 km from Mehsana city. In this industrial estate, in MSME zone 500 sq. meter to 3000 sq meters 254 plots planned and in General zone 3,000 sq. meters to 10,000 sq. meters 25 plots are planned.
The allotment of these plots is to be done by draw system as decided by the Corporation. The draw will be organized with full transparency through software developed by the National Informatics Center.
The Corporation provides basic infrastructure facilities in the estate such as roads, sewerage, water supply, power supply network, street lights, effluent treatment plant (for chemical units) as well as other facilities such as Skill Upgradation Center, Green Space, Bank, Hospital, Halls and spaces for commercial activities have also been developed.
All the services provided by the corporation to the entrepreneurs under Ease of Doing Business (EODB) such as land demand application, transfer application, mortgage permission etc. Applications have been invited through the online portal. Entrepreneurs can online view their application details at each level.
