Sonia Gandhi’s statement comes minutes after Congress MP Adhir R Chowdhury said that there is no question of apologising.
Meanwhile, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said that he had used the term “Rashtrapatni” for President Murmu by mistake.
He said that the ruling party was deliberately trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

In another low, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, condescendingly refers to President Droupadi Murmu as “राष्ट्रपत्नी”. The characterisation is not just sexist but reeks of disdain for a Tribal woman, who has risen from a modest background, to the highest office of land. pic.twitter.com/lsNjwcftWh
