The tweet was uploaded in response to the interview of Nirbhaya's mother where she criticised prominent persons for politicising the death of her daughter.
Aiyar invited trouble by discussing India's internal matters in Pakistan. During a panel discussion in Lahore, Aiyar claimed that there is a rift between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over articulation of NPR and NRC.
"There is unprecedented turmoil today. The Constitution is being undermined and the instruments of governance are being misused. Students and the young have in particular been targeted, Sonia said.
"Not a day passes without Home Minister & Prime Minister making provocative statements. CWC must declare that Congress workers will stand with the people of India in their struggle for equality, equal protection of the laws, justice, and dignity," Sonia said.
Banerjee has been a vocal opponent of the CAA and NRC. She has also said that both CAA and NRC will be not implemented in the state.
