PM Modi to inaugurate & lay foundation stone of 7 infrastructure projects in Bihar on Tuesday

PM to inaugurate 7 projects in Bihar: Out of these, 4 are related to water supply, 2 linked to sewerage treatment and 1 dedicated to riverfront development.

New Delhi: As Bihar readies for Assembly elections in a month or two, it’s raining developmental projects in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate as well as lay the foundation stone of 7 urban infrastructure projects in the state via video link. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be present on the occasion.

Out of these, 4 projects are related to water supply, 2 linked to sewerage treatment and 1 dedicated to riverfront development.

This comes just days after inauguration of 3 petroleum sector projects in the state, which is supposed to make Bihar more self-reliant in LPG gas.

Tomorrow’s 7 projects would cost Rs 541 crore and will be implementated by BUIDCO under Urban Development and Housing Department of Bihar.

In total, the Prime Minister is likely to inaugurate/lay foundation stone of many developmental projects in the state over next few days, totaling Rs 16,000 crore, reports said.

Projects to be inaugurated by PM Modi

Sewerage treatment plants built at Beur and Karmalichak, in Patna Municipal Corporation under the Namami Gange program will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

Water supply projects built under AMRUT Mission in Siwan Municipal Council and Chapra Municipal Corporation will also be opened for public service. Both these projects will help local residents get pure drinking water 24 hours a day.

The foundation stone of Munger water supply scheme and Jamalpur water supply scheme under AMRUT Mission will be laid by the Prime Minister. The scheme will help residents get pure water through pipelines.

Ghat development is also on agenda in tomorrow’s program. PM will lay foundation stone of Muzaffarpur Riverfront Development Scheme, under which 3 ghats of Muzaffarpur, Poorvi Akhada Ghat, Seedhi Ghat and Chandwara Ghat will be developed. Basic facilities like toilets, changing room, pathway, watch tower etc will be developed under at the riverfront under this project.
