New Delhi: Barry O’Farrell, the Australian envoy to India has showered effusive praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his exemplary and strong leadership in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and called him a ‘superhuman’.
In an interview with DD India, Australian envoy to India Barry O’Farrell said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is almost a superhuman.”
“Your Prime Minister is almost superhuman. In addition to managing a pandemic in the world’s second largest country, he also finds time every day to reach out to world leaders. That is truly impressive!,” said the Australian envoy.

Last month, PM Modi had a telephonic conversation with Australian PM regarding COVID-19 situation and measures to tackle it.
“We agreed to cooperate against COVID-19, including through collaborative research. PM Morrison assured me about the well-being of the vibrant Indian community, including students, in Australia,” PM Modi had said.

Australian academicians praised Modi govt for handling Covid-19
Last month, a group of Australian academician concluded in their study that India was among those countries who responded to this pandemic strongly and effectively and the reason for this response was ‘political leadership’ of the country.
They said leadership of some countries including India took decisive steps to slow the spread of Coronavirus, setting an example for many other nations.
The researchers had also listed out some of key steps taken by Modi government to keep the spread and death rate low.
