South African man proposes girl at her father’s funeral; netizens troll on Twitter

New Delhi: We usually see men or women trying quirky ideas to propose to their partners and make it memorable for both of them. However, a man from South Africa is now going viral for proposing to a woman on an unusual occasion. It is unbelievable that the man asked for the marriage to the woman at her father’s funeral.

Well, it is strange but the incident is recorded on a camera. The video was shared by a Twitter user on May 4. The user captioned the video, ”Would you say yes??”

The video starts with a man sitting on his knee and a ring in his hand while mourners available at the venue were seen listening to him quietly.

Initially, the girl did not react and cried continually.

Later in the video, one can see the girl gave her finger to wear the ring.

So far, the video has received over 95 thousand views and over 900 comments.

According to media reports, the man chose the occasion as he was sad to see the woman crying. That’s why he decided to propose to the girl and support her.

On the other hand, a few rumours suggest the man was a priest and he was in love with the girl for a long time.

One may find the cause of the man genuine but he is being heavily criticised on social media.

Seeing the video, a Twitter user namely Chilel Aissitou wrote, ”Hey Allah!…come see this oh?! At a funeral no less!”

”Is this a script or what?,” wrote another user.

”This guy is taking advantage of her vulnerability seems he is interested in the girl’s inheritance. This is so disrespectful. I will hit your head if you come close to me. Selfish man,” wrote an angry user.
