New Delhi: After inflicting damages in Rajasthan, huge swarm of locusts have reached Gurugram on Saturday morning and is likely to enter Delhi soon.

Sehwag shares Locust video

As the locusts clouded Gurugram skies, residents of high-rise buildings started sharing images and videos of the locust attack.

The Gurugram administration is sounding sirens and blowing horns to make noises so that the locusts don’t settle on green vegetation and destroy them.

On Friday, Gurugram administration reportedly warned its residents about the attack, urging them to keep their windows shut as a precautionary measure. The administration also asked them to make clanging noise by beating utensils to repel the crop-eating insects.

Locusts likely to enter Faridabad

Following this, the Faridabad administration also issued a warning against the locust attack.

“The locust swarm has reached Gurgaon. There is a possibility of them coming towards Faridabad as well. All arrangements have been made. The residents should be cautious and reach their fields and help to fight this,” Deputy Commissioner Yashpal Yadav said.
