New Delhi: Tripura witnessed the Assembly Elections on February 16, with 24.66 lakh voters turning out to vote, which makes for about an 88% voter turnout. Ahead of the results on March 2, Exit Polls are predicting the result in favour of NDA, the alliance of BJP and IPFT.
There are a total of 60 seats in the state and the majority will be marked with 31 seats. The predictions tell that there is a chance that the NDA government will be repeated in the state. Currently, BJP holds 33 seats while IPFT has 4 in the Assembly.

South Tripura registered the highest voting percentage at 92.09%, while the Town Bardowali registered the lowest, 80% voter turnout.
CM Manik Saha contested the elections from the town Bordowali, opposite Congress’ Asish Kumar Saha and the CM is predicted to win his seat.
CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhary is the face of the Left-Congress alliance and is likely to win the Sabroom assembly seat.
The Exit Poll predicts that BJP will be the top gainer with 28-33 seats and can repeat the script of the last elections. Meanwhile, with 11-16 seats, CPI(M) and TMP are likely to be the other big parties.
