What led to Rane-Uddhav fight ?

Union Minister Narayan Rane sparked off a major controversy on Monday as slammed the Maharashtra chief minister for his alleged ignorance of India’s Independence.

Rane claimed that CM Thackeray forgot the year of India’s independence while addressing the people of state. Rane claimed that Thackeray had to check the year of independence with his partymen midway during the speech that day.

“It is shameful that chief minister does not know the year of independence. He leaned back to enquire about the count of years of independence during his speech. Had I been there, I would have given (him) a tight slap,” Mr Rane said at Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Raigad district on Monday.
