New Delhi: In order to dilute emergency situations due to Corona, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to equip government hospitals, medical colleges and institutes with new machines on urgent basis.
As much as Rs 4.16 crore have been released to the dedicated Covid Hospital of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Motilal Nehru Medical College Prayagraj and BRD Medical College Gorakhpur.
The funds received from the Yogi government will strengthen medical resources including procurement of bipap machines, defibrillators, multipara monitors, table top pulse oximeters, ABG machines, ECG monitors, suction machines.
An amount of Rs 1.59 crore has been released to RML Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow for proper treatment of Covid patients. This will ensure additional availability of 40 BIPAP machines. Similarly, Rs 1.30 crore have been released to Motilal Nehru Medical College Prayagraj to purchase 100 para monitors, two ABG machines, five ECG monitors, two defibrillators and nine suction machines.
The 500-bed Pediatric Institute of BRD Medical College had been converted into a 300-bed dedicated Covid Hospital on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during the first wave of Corona in Gorakhpur.
For the dedicated Kovid Hospital of BRD Medical College, the Yogi government has released more than Rs 1.27 crore, out of which Rs 77.50 lakh for 50 multipara monitor (high end) and Rs 49.50 lakh for purchase of 50 table top Pulse oximeters.
Multipara Monitor (High End) Corona is a latest device very effective in treating serious patients. This is a device in which BP, ECG, etc. will be monitored continuously while an alarm will ring as soon as the patient’s pulse rate falls or there is difficulty in breathing.
Regular monitoring of oxygen levels is indispensable in the treatment of Covid patients. With the availability of 50 multipara monitors and 50 table top pulse oximeters at the dedicated Covid Hospital of BRD Medical College, the additional facilities are being created.
