PM Modi inaugurates 296 km Bundelkhand Expressway in UP’s Jalaun

Foundation stone of project was also laid by PM Modi in February 2020, and the construction was completed in a short period of 28 months

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the much anticipated Bundelkhand Expressway today. PM landed in Kanpur and attended the inauguration ceremony in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun.

The four-lane expressway is reportedly a massive 296 kilometres-long construction and is worth nearly ₹14,850 crore rupees. The expressway has been built under Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).

For the not-known, the foundation stone of the project was also laid by PM Modi in February 2020, and the construction of the expressway was completed before the expected time in a short period of 28 months.

# PM stated that the central government is strict about the deadlines in the developmental projects. “We’d laid the foundation stone of Delhi-Meerut expressway and inaugurated it as well. Similarily, we laid foundation of Bundelkhand Expressway and unveiled it too”, he added.

# “I knew that if law and order situation & connectivity in the region could be corrected, the state can fight against all odds”, PM Modi said.

# PM Modi, while addressing the public meet in Bundelkhand said, that the newly unveiled expressway claimed that the project will not just provide convience to the transportational issues in the region but also bring prosperity to various sectors in and around the district.

# Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is addressing the public present at the inauguration ceremony.

# PM Modi, along with UP chief Yogi Adityanath has reached the venue. PM has further unveiled the sand art and photoart gallery at the event.

# PM has already landed in Kanpur and is en route to Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh.

“PM @narendramodi landed in Kanpur. He is on the way to Jalaun to inaugurate the Bundelkhand Expressway. CM @myogiadityanath and other dignitaries received him at the airport”, PMO India tweeted.
