New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi today in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar as the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its last leg in the union territory.
Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra hoisted the flag at Lal Chowk amid slogans of Bharat Jodo, Nafrat Choro (United India, Leave Hate).
Originally, Rahul Gandhi was supposed to hoist the flag at the Congress Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) headquarters in Srinagar on Monday.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh informed in a tweet that Rahul Gandhi was supposed to unfurl national flag on Jan 30th in PCC office after he was not given the permission to do so a any other place. The state administration allowed him to do so in Lal Chowk but with aa condition that it should be done today on 29th at end of Bharat Jodo Yatra.

On September 7, the Bharat Jodo Yatra started in Kanyakumari and is set to conclude on January 30 in Srinagar. The Bharat Jodo Yatra will be concluded after covering 3,970 km, 12 states, and two Union territories.
The security was lightened in the area keeping the recent twin blasts on the outskirts of Jammu city on January 22 in mind which which rocked a busy locality in Narwal leaving at least nine people injured.
