Who is Raja Bhaiya, UP MLA Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh who filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage with Bhanvi Singh

New Delhi: Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh, popularly known as Raja Bhaiya is in the news after he filed for divorce from his wife, who he had been married to for 28 years.

He filed the petition in the family court of Lucknow on the ground of cruelty and desertion.

The news about his divorce has sent shock waves to many. The couple had two children together.

Also, the reason behind his divorce is yet to be known, None of them have spoken about the same.

Who is Raja Bhaiya?

Raja Bhaiya or Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh was born in Kolkata on 31 October 1969.

He is an MLA in the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly from Kunda constituency on Jansatta Dal (Loktantrik) ticket.

Raja Bhaiya and Bhanvi Singh are married for the past 28 years.

He alleged that Bhanvi Singh left matrimonial home and refused to come back.

Hearing of Divorce:

The hearing was adjourned in the divorce petition filed by MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh on Monday after the concerned judge, was no leave.

The hearing in the divorce petition is pending before Delhi’s Saket court.

On the other hand, the counsel for Bhanvi Singh has sought time to file a reply.

The next date of the hearing in this matter is scheduled for  May 23.
