Amul topical celebrates International Yoga Day in its quirky way

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Yoga Day the dairy giant Amul shared a creative promoting Yoga. International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21 and the day is marked by United Nations to spread awareness about practising Yoga for mental and physical well-being.

Celebrities and politicians across the country are celebrating the day by doing yoga asanas. Brands are also sharing their greetings for International Yoga Day with their consumers. Amul, which is known for its quirky graphics on any occasion or happening, also uniquely greeted its consumers. In the graphic, the trademark Amul girl is performing two asanas; one holds a bun with Amul butter inside it while the other seemed tempted by it. The graphic reads, “Tan, Mann aur Bun ki Shakti” translating to ‘Physical, Mental and Bun Strength’ and the tagline says, ‘Amul: Makes you flexible’.

Amul is known to create such creative graphics using wit and humour. The puns used in these graphics usually go viral on social media. Not only on the internet but Amul is known to share these graphics as advertisements in print also. Amul takes in any prominent news that is trending, usually from sports and Bollywood, and shares their humorous take on the issue.

Amul also shared another such graphic on Father’s Day. The graphic read, ”Aaj daddy ko maska lagana!” and had a tagline saying, ”Amul: Making toasts go pop!”.
