Delhi YouTuber ties dog to helium balloons, lets it ‘fly’ in air, apprehended (VIDEO)

New Delhi: A 27-year-old youth was arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday for cruelty against dogs. The YouTuber shared a video in which he tied his pet dog to the helium gas balloons and left the dog hanging in air.

The accused, Gaurav Sharma, who has 4.15 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, is a resident of Panchsheel Vihar in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, police said.

In the video shot on May 21, Sharma can be seen with his pet dog in a park. The dog is strapped to a bunch of balloons and is set loose to fly.

Case has been lodged against Sharma under various sections including section 188 and animal cruelty act.

The YouTube footage has been deleted.

After he was criticized by netizens, the accused uploaded another one with apologies the next day. He said that he took adequate safety measures while shooting the video featuring his pet dog, Dollar, and also assured his viewers that he would not repeat it in the future.
