Rajasthan: BJP leader celebrates birthday with world’s largest roti

New Delhi: BJP District President Kailash Soni celebrated his birthday in a unique style not by cutting fancy cake, he chose to spend his special day in a traditional manner by having roti as the main delicacy. The event was live-streamed in Bhiwani and a decent crowd had gathered to witness the event. Specially skilled labourers were called from Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat to prepare the roti. The organizers also planned to get the special roti registered in the Guinness World Book of Records to beat the record for roti weighing 145 kg made in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. This roti will beat the record as this one weighs 171 kg.

To prepare this special roti, a special iron pan of 16/12 feet is used which weighs around 1000kgs. Over 2000 clay bricks and 1000kg of coal were used to bake the 70mm thick roti. Over 21 skilled labourers of Hari Sewa Udasin Ashram gathered to produce the unique roti in the state. It took them over 4-5 hours to prepare the roti.

Over 207 kg of wheat Flour, 10 kg of All Purpose Flour and 15 kg of Desi Ghee was used in cooking the special roti. The BJP leader said he wanted to discourage the practice of Cake cutting in our country, that’s why he chose to celebrate his big day with the special roti. The organizers have also applied to International Book of records and Guiness World of Book Records to register the unique roti.
