New Delhi: If you feel you are too old to follow your dreams, then this ‘dadi’ proves you wrong. 62-year-old ‘Dancing Dadi’ is still making her dreams come true. The Woman called Ravi Bala Sharma is from UP’s Moradabad who currently lives with her son in Mumbai. She has become a celebrity on social media, owing to her alluring dance videos on Instagram. Her dance moves have broken the internet and more than 1 lakh people are following her on Insta.

She is also a versatile dancer, as she can perform on folk songs, Bollywood numbers and even bhangra, all with equal ease and elegance. Not only common people, many celebrities are also in the awe of her. Stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Imtiaz Ali and Terence Lewis are sharing and praising her videos on social media platform.

 

Sharma is a mother of two children and worked as a music teacher for 27 years in a government school in Delhi. She learned Kathak, vocal and Tabla during her childhood from her now 96-year-old father Shanti Swarup Sharma. She decided to follow her childhood dream of dancing after retirement.

 

While talking to Indian Express, she expressed excitement and bewilderment on learning that Diljit Dosanjh shared her video on Instagram. She said “that moment was my biggest award”. And she was absolutely right when she said, “I think I have proved that age is just a number and you can get recognition at any stage of your life.”
