As the Legendary Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan announces retirement, fans say ‘Thank You Gabbar’

New Delhi: Former Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan announced retirement from Domestic and International cricket. The Indian cricketer took to social media to share the news of his retirement with his fans.

He last played for India in the ODI series against Bangladesh in 2022. The Indian Cricketer has now officially ended his career at the age of 38. He will be replaced in the team by the upcoming star Shubman Gill.

In the video he shared, he thanked all his fans and expressed gratitude for all the love and respect he received throughout his career. He also added As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind!

 

He played over 34 tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20s for Team India during his career. Shikhar Dhawan also thanked BCCI, DDCA, and all his fans for their overwhelming support and love in his retirement post.

 

The legendary cricketer began his cricket journey with domestic cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2010 when he played for India against Australia. The one thing that made him stand out from the others was his performance in the Red Ball Cricket.
