New Delhi: Indian cricketer Shivam Dube took to Instagram to share pictures of his wedding ceremony on social media. Dube wedded his long-time girlfriend Anjum Khan on Friday. He wrote in the caption, “We loved with a love which was more than love. And now this is where our forever starts.”

Right after the announcement, fellow cricketers and fans started pouring their love and well-wishes to the couple.

Dube who has played for The Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League has also been congratulated by the franchisee.

However, this knot being an interfaith marriage had to receive some ‘other’ reactions as well and it did. Especially, netizens chose to question the Dube’s marriage since in all the pics shared by the cricketer, the ceremony was performed as per Muslim tradition only.

A social media user said commenting on their wedding pics, “A common question in my mind. The girl is Muslim and the boy belongs to Hindu faith. Here the rituals have been performed in an Islamic way, what if the rituals were performed in accordance with Hindu law. Maybe all the Muslims have been cursing girl”.

Another wrote, “You should have married as per both religions, why only through Muslim tradition, can’t understand your love .. “.
