Former Indian leggie Amit Mishra throws light on the “Gambhir-Kohli” fight

Amit Mishra recently shed light on the entire controversy and fiight revolving around Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli during IPL 23.

New Delhi: Amit Mishra seems to have become the new internet sensation as he unveils one after another backdoor mysteries of Indian cricket. Recently, the former Indian leggie was seen hurling out criticism one after another at the decision to make Shubman Gill the captain of the touring India team for Zimbabwe in a podcast.

In the same podcast, Amit Mishra also shed some light on the entire ‘Kohli-Gambhir’ incident which had occurred during the IPL 2023. During an online YouTube podcast of Shubhankar Mishra called “Unplugged“, Amit revealed that even though the feud between Virat and Gambhir was the internet hot topic, it was indeed Gautam who went ahead and tried to sort things out with Kohli.

“Virat Kohli didn’t go towards him, Gautam went towards him. He went and asked ‘How are you, how’s your family.’…” Mishra reckons that it should have been the other way around and Kohli should have been the one to go to Gambhir. However, the leg-spinner thinks Kohli has a “change of heart” after getting the name and fame.

“Virat Kohli was unnecessarily abusing LSG players…” Mishra reveals the LSG vs RCB incident

Mishra also made an astonishing claim that Kohli had first started hurling abuses at the players of LSG rather than Naveen’s heated argument with Kohli. According to Mishra, Kohli had picked up an unnecessary fight with West Indian left-handed all-rounder Kyle Mayers.

Speaking about the incident, Amit remarked, “He started abusing our players. Kuch bhi bol raha hai. Kyle Mayers se uski kya dushmani hai?….”

Mishra went on to add that Kohli’s relationship with him has also become estranged in recent years. The 41-year-old reckons that there was a time when the 14-year-old Cheeku was there relying on him for advice and used to see Amit as an elder brother. However, in recent years Virat has changed a lot and with that, the respect and admiration have also declined seizably!
