Hockey Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2024: Live Streaming, Group details and Venue details

New Delhi: To keep up the momentum from the Sultan of Johor Cup, Hockey India has recently announced a 20-member squad for the upcoming Hockey Men’s Junior Asia Cup. The tournament will be a qualifying tournament for the Hockey Men’s World Cup. However, India has already qualified for the upcoming World Cup because of hosting rights. Nevertheless, head coach PR Sreejesh who recently took over as head coach of the junior side remarked:

The Sultan of Johor Cup was a first-time experience for many of the players, yet they showed great spirit in doing well and I am quite pleased with how they performed. The team will be taking confidence from that performance and will be working towards a successful outing in the Junior Asia Cup…

The FIH Junior Hockey Men’s World Cup 2025 will be played in India. India has qualified as the host of the competition. Belgium, England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Austria and Switzerland have qualified from Europe. Argentina, Canada and Chile have qualified from the Americas. Following the six qualifiers from the Junior Asia Cup, three more teams from Oceania and Africa (each) will qualify for the World Cup to complete the qualification process over the next few months.
