New Delhi: A brand new team under the captaincy of KL Rahul and the coaching of Gautam Gambhir is set to tour Sri Lanka in July and August. It will be the first tour under the guidance of the newly appointed head coach of the India Team, Gautam Gambhir. Interestingly, Sri Lanka will also be led by a new interim coach- Sanath Jayasuriya following the departure of Chris Silverwood.

The series is packed with a total of 3 T20Is scheduled to take place in Pallekele as well as 3 ODI matches scheduled to take place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. India last toured Sri Lanka back in 2021 when Rahul Dravid was the stand-in coach and Shikhar Dhawan was the captain. Team India won the ODI series 2-1 while the Lankans took the T20I series 2-1.
