New Delhi: As the Duleep Trophy 2024 comes nearer, the news of players missing out from the teams is trickling down one by one. After Suryakumar’s absence from the Duleep Trophy 2024, Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna is set to be ruled out from the India A squad after he failed to match the match fitness levels consistently.

The news of Krishna’s absence has given the India A squad, fans and skipper Shubman Gill a huge jolt. Prasidh would have been the premier fast bowler for the side and would have been useful with the express pace that he generates courtesy of a high-arm action.
Prasidh’s woeful tales of injury
Krishna’s cricketing has been cut short due to injury in recent years since he departed from the Kolkata Knight Riders. Meanwhile, Krishna is under rehabilitation after his surgery on the left proximal quadriceps tendon in February. The tall and lanky speedster is currently in the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Earlier, Krishna had missed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season due to the injury and now this injury prevented him from playing in the Duleep Trophy 2024. Krishna currently plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. With this injury and concerns of match fitness, Krishna’s return to the side for the test series against Bangladesh also remains doubtful.
