New Delhi: The IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 auction drama doesnโt seem to be getting over anytime soon as two big trades have officially taken place after the official submission of their playerโs retention list on Sunday.
Even though, the official list of all the retained players of all the 10 teams, was supposed to be submitted by November 26, evening 4 p.m., IST. However, the official trade window for the teams will be open till December 12, i.e., one week before the auction.
Initially, named as the retained player by Gujrat Titans and Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya and Cameroon Green have officially been traded to Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, late on Sunday, and the trade has been officially approved by BCCI.

The official announcement has been made by IPL authorities through a media advisory.

All cash deal
Both, Hardik Pandya and Cameroon Green are part of a one-way all-cash deal with no other players involved in the trade.

Hardik Pandya will move to Mumbai Indians, with Mumbai giving Gujrat Titans, Rs 15 crore in cash, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be giving Mumbai, Rs 17.50 crore in cash, as a part of the deal.
Shuffle in auction purse
The late evening on Sunday has also resulted in a change in the auction purse of the involved teams, as Gujrat Titans who was supposed to head to the auction with Rs 13.85 crore in purse, will now be heading with Rs 28.85 crore in total, Mumbai Indians will also get a raise of 2.75 crore and will now have 17.75 crore to spend.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who after the announcement had the biggest purse of Rs 40.75 crore, will now get Cameroon Greenโs, Rs 17.50 crore subtracted from their purse, leaving their final total to Rs 23.25 crore for the auction, which will be taking place on December 19.
Shubman Gill named captain
The 2022 IPL champions, Gujrat Titans, after their captain Harik Pandyaโs departure has also announced the new captain for their team.
The Ahmedabd based team has chosen their start Indian opener, Shubman Gill as thier new captain with a post on X (Formerly known as Twitter).

Top-5 big money releases
The announcement of the retention list on Sunday, saw some big-money players getting released from their squad, who were bought at huge prices but failed to live up to their expectations.
The most expensive player to get released was CSKโs all-time most expensive acquisition, Ben Stokes who was bought by CSK for Rs 16.25 crore.
