New Delhi: India’s no.1 pacer Mohammed Siraj has now started a new chapter in his career as he assumes charge as the DSP of Telangana. The Telangana government had announced the Group-1 job for Siraj back in July as a reward for the services that he gave to the game of cricket.
Mohammed Siraj started his journey in administration by reporting to the Telangana Director General of Police (DGP). Furthermore, he was also accompanied by the member of parliament M.Anil Kumar Yadav and Congress leader Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi.

Siraj’s rise to fame has been a remarkable story of hard work, dedication and perseverance in the face of tough and challenging situations. Starting his cricketing career from the narrow lanes of Hyderabad to winning the T20 World Cup with his national team, has been a long journey for Siraj.
Will Siraj be the third bowler for India in the upcoming BGT series?
With the upcoming border-Gavaskar trophy, all eyes will once again be turned towards Siraj who was instrumental in breaching the fortress of ‘Gabba’. Siraj on that occasion had assumed the role of the frontline pacer with 2 test match experiences. However, things have changed going ahead with the 24/25 BGT series.
According to former India selector Jatin Paranjape, Mohammed Siraj might not play the role of orchestrator in the upcoming Australia series. Speaking about the right-arm pacer and Team India’s preparations ahead, Paranjpe remarked in the Times of India that-
If he (Shami) is not fit, Siraj will obviously become the second fast bowler behind Bumrah. The third bowler spot will go to Akash Deep if Shami is unavailable…
Siraj was one of India’s star performers in the previous Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, ending the series as India’s highest wicket-taker. Naturally, the Indian pacer will look to take charge of the Australia series once again.
