New Delhi: After making several headlines from the Men’s international cricket, the ‘Pushpa’ fever has now gotten into the women’s cricket as well.

In recent times, we have seen India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, as well as Obed McCoy copying Allu Arjun’s signature move from ‘Pushpa’ movie, while celebrating on the field.

Now, in a fresh instance, a woman cricketer from Nepal has recreated the move in the ongoing FairBreak Invitational Tournament in Dubai.

In a match played on May 5 between squads of Tornadoes Women and Sapphires Women, Nepal’s Sita Rana Magar was seen celebrating in the famous ‘Pushpa’ style by rubbing the back of her palm against her chin after picking up a wicket in the game.

International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a clip of the incident with caption, “It’s gone so far on social media. Nepal’s Sita Rana Magar with the most popular celebration currently”.

As soon as the video surfaced online, it became a viral sensation among the cricket enthusiasts and the fans of actor Allu Arjun. Netizens flooded the comment section with awestruck praises of Nepal’s spinner as well as the popularity of recently released ‘Pushpa’.

“Pushpa has now become a brand”, wrote one Instagram user. While another wrote, “Pushpa trend is international now”.

For the unversed, FairBreak Invitational Tournament is an initiative of grouping renowned woman cricketers along with the emerging players of different countries to bring an expansion to the world of women internation cricket.

“I think there are discrepancies and certain things in the women’s game,” Rana told the media prior to her match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
